Jackie Marshall is a Registered Social Worker and an Accredited Family Mediator. She has been in practice for over 20 years working with individuals, couples, families and children. She graduated from University of Toronto, with her Masters of Social Work in 1996. Jackie has extensive experience and training in the areas of separation and divorce, family mediation, intimate partner violence, relationships and power imbalance, parenting coordination and reintegration therapy.
Jackie is an expert in child development and works with children to help them adjust to change, including issues emerging from separation, divorce, and remarriage. She specializes in helping families manage conflict, repair damaged relationships, and communicate more effectively.
Jackie has worked with Mediate393, Toronto’s court-connected family mediation service, since 2012. As an Accredited Family Mediator and an Information and Referral Coordinator (IRC) Jackie interacts with a diverse and varied client population. As an IRC, Jackie provides community resources, referrals, information and guidance in a number of areas including; family mediation, domestic violence, legal aid, family court process, mental health and accessing legal advice.
In her capacity as a Certified Family Mediator (Acc.FM), Parenting Coordinator (PC) and Individual, Child and Family Therapist, Jackie strives to ensure that every client feels heard and seen and accepted for exactly who they are at any given point in time. Jackie’s training and professional experience have culminated in an open and unique perspective as a therapist.
Jackie’s professional memberships include Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), Ontario Association of Family Mediation (OAFM), Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW), Family Mediation Canada (FMC), Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario (FDRIO).
