Bio

“There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.”

Nicole is an Individual, Couples and Family Therapist. She brings an honest, pragmatic, and solutions-focused approach to helping clients achieve long-term success and well-being. Her strong yet compassionate style, paired with her use of humor, creates a therapeutic environment where clients feel supported and motivated to grow.

Nicole has worked extensively with children, youth, adults, and families across diverse cultural backgrounds, spanning over 15 years. She supports clients facing mental health challenges, fertility and postpartum experiences, parenting concerns, and relationship or marital difficulties. Specializing in couples therapy, Nicole helps partners strengthen their relationships by developing more effective communication patterns, resolving conflicts constructively, and rebuilding connection and trust. She also assists individuals and families navigating separation, divorce, co-parenting, trauma, and incidents of neglect or abuse. In addition, Nicole also provides family business therapy.

Drawing from extensive training and personal experience as both a child of divorce and an amicably divorced parent herself, Nicole specializes in effective communication within relationships, conflict resolution during separation, and healthy co-parenting and reintegration. Her work with couples focuses on helping partners truly hear and understand each other, break unhelpful communication cycles, and create collaborative solutions to challenges. She is passionate about guiding families through difficult transitions so they can move forward with confidence and optimism.

Nicole also provides support in infant care and sleep challenges, individual therapy for children and youth, and navigating the child welfare and family court systems. As a parent herself, she understands the stresses of raising children and promotes a mindful, respectful approach to parenting that balances empathy with clear boundaries. She helps parents establish structure and routines that align with a child’s age, temperament, and developmental stage. Nicole also works directly with children and youth to process complex emotions and strengthen self-esteem.

Working with Nicole means having a reliable and direct therapeutic advocate who is committed to helping individuals and couples recognize their strengths and build a path toward healing and well-being. She quickly identifies and implements effective services and treatment modalities, including assessments, parent-child contact problem therapy, court-mandated reintegration therapy, voice-of-the-child assessments, therapeutic access, and parenting coordination. Nicole’s knowledge, empathy, and humor help families and couples address challenges constructively and move forward holistically.

Nicole is registered in good standing with the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers of Ontario and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. She holds a Master of Social Work with Honors from York University.
