Bio
Elli believes therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, creating a supportive and judgment-free space where clients can explore life’s challenges at a pace that feels comfortable and safe. Whether someone is struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, addiction, relationship difficulties, or major life transitions, Elli’s goal is to help clients build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and move toward meaningful healing and personal growth.
Elli’s approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual. She uses an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy, drawing from modalities including EMDR, Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Mindfulness-Based CBT. Her work supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, CPTSD, personality disorders, ADHD, and addictions, with a strong emphasis on creating a therapeutic experience that feels safe, empowering, and personalized.
Before transitioning into psychotherapy full-time, Elli had a distinguished career as an airline captain, traveling extensively and connecting with individuals from many different cultures and walks of life. These experiences deepened her understanding of how culture, identity, environment, and lived experiences shape mental health and emotional wellbeing. They also inspired her advocacy work supporting victims of human trafficking and modern slavery, strengthening her passion for trauma-informed care, resilience, and healing.
Elli is a Registered Psychotherapist with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology with Honours, and an Advanced Diploma in Addictions and Community Services Work. Her work is grounded in the belief that every person deserves compassion, connection, and support, and that healing becomes possible when clients feel safe enough to begin the process.
