Avenue Road office
Our North York office is on Avenue Road in Ledbury Park. Parking is right out front.
Adults, couples, children and families meet with our therapists here in person. Some come for help with anxiety or low mood. Others are working through a separation, a parenting struggle or a relationship that feels stuck. Whatever brings you in, you will sit down with a registered therapist who has done this work for years.
Booking a first appointment takes a lot. Most people spend weeks or months thinking about it before they pick up the phone. So we try to make the rest easy: a short drive, a parking spot and a calm room where nobody is rushing you.
The office sits on the eastern edge of Ledbury Park, a mostly residential part of North York, with Bedford Park directly across Avenue Road.
Prefer somewhere closer to the subway? Our Merton Street office in midtown Toronto is a short walk from Davisville station.
The building is on the west side of Avenue Road at Deloraine Avenue, north of Lawrence Avenue.

Park in the lot in front of the building, or use the metered parking along Avenue Road. Coming from Highway 401, take the Avenue Road exit and head south.
Take the 61 Avenue Rd North bus to Avenue Road and stop at Melrose Avenue. From the stop, the office is a two-minute walk.

No surprises. Here is how a first appointment at Avenue Road usually goes.
After you book, we will send you a welcome package.
Park out front or on the street, come in through the main entrance and head up to Suite 200. Give yourself five extra minutes on your first visit.
Take a seat in the waiting area and your therapist will come out to meet you. The first session is mostly about listening: what brought you in and what you want to be different.
Together you decide how often to meet. Some clients stay in person, some switch to online sessions and some do a bit of both.

Toronto Family Therapy is a group practice. Our therapists cover individual, couples, child, teen and family therapy, along with separation support and family mediation.

Our therapists also meet with clients online, anywhere in Ontario. Some people start in person and move online when their schedule doesn't allow in-person. Others do the reverse. You can also see us at our Merton Street office in midtown Toronto.
North York is now one of Toronto's six districts. It stretches from Steeles Avenue in the north to the Humber River in the west and Victoria Park Avenue in the east, and 683,511 people lived there at the 2021 census.
It also carries the busiest stretch of highway in North America: more than 400,000 vehicles a day use the 401 through North York. Our office is in the southern part of the district, on Avenue Road north of Lawrence. From most of North York, you can come off the 401 at Avenue Road, head south for a few minutes and park out front.
