Bio
Jaimie Goldstein has over a decade of experience in child welfare and family support, and at the heart of her work is a genuine passion for supporting children, youth, and families through challenging moments. She holds a Master of Social Work and is a registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. Jaimie is committed to an equitable, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and accessible practice. She believes that strong therapeutic relationships, built on emotional safety, compassion, and empathy, are the foundation for meaningful change.
Jaimie works collaboratively with clients to identify, understand, and navigate personal challenges. She practices from a strength-based approach, helping clients build on their existing abilities, resources, and resilience. She has extensive experience supporting children and youth with relationship challenges, behavioural issues, family transitions, self-esteem, and the effects of neglect or abuse. Jaimie is also skilled in high-risk, high-conflict situations, helping families feel safe and move toward positive growth. In her practice, she creates a space where clients can share their concerns in a calm, casual, and non-judgmental environment using various therapy modalities to support families in rebuilding trust, strengthening communication, and feeling supported.
Outside of work, Jaimie is a proud mother of three young children, bringing the joys and challenges of parenting into her practice with warmth and understanding. She draws on her personal experience to support individuals and families through fertility journeys, perinatal and postnatal care, infant care and sleep challenges, and parenting strategies. She appreciates the emotional and physical demands of fertility treatments, the transition to parenthood, including the sleepless nights, and the rollercoaster of emotions that accompany early parenting. Above all, she wants you to feel validated, supported and cared for.
